Control Systems

Control Systems in astronautical engineering refer to the set of devices, algorithms, and procedures used to manage and regulate the behavior of a spacecraft or a rocket. Control systems are responsible for ensuring that the vehicle follows a desired trajectory, maintains stability, and responds appropriately to external disturbances such as atmospheric drag or gravitational forces. Control systems can be classified into two main categories: open-loop and closed-loop. Open-loop control systems use pre-determined inputs to generate a desired output, while closed-loop control systems use feedback from sensors to adjust the inputs and achieve a desired output. Control systems are critical to the success of any space mission, as they enable the vehicle to perform complex maneuvers and achieve mission objectives.
