Radar Systems
Radar systems are electronic systems that use electromagnetic waves to detect, locate, and track objects such as aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, ships, vehicles, and weather formations. Radar systems emit radio waves that bounce off the target object and return to the radar receiver. The time delay between the transmission and reception of the signal is used to determine the distance to the object. The Doppler effect is used to determine the velocity of the object. Radar systems can operate in different frequency bands, such as X-band, S-band, and L-band, depending on the application. Radar systems can be ground-based, airborne, or space-based. They can be used for surveillance, navigation, weather monitoring, air traffic control, and military purposes.
