Star Trackers

Star trackers are devices used in spacecraft navigation that determine the orientation of the spacecraft by measuring the positions of stars. They work by comparing the positions of stars in their field of view to a catalog of known star positions. This information is then used to calculate the spacecraft's attitude and determine its orientation in space. Star trackers are highly accurate and can provide precise information even in the presence of other sources of error, such as thermal distortion or radiation. They are essential for many space missions, including those that require precise pointing or maneuvering, such as Earth observation or deep space exploration.
